The debut single of hers was released in the year 2015. It was a huge hit and received praise from both listeners and critics alike. The song made it to the top 19 in both Billboard Hot 100 in Canada and on the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone called the single one of its Best Songs in 2015. The singer released her debut Know It All album in the same year. The third single, Scars to Your Beautiful was among five songs that reached the top spots on Billboard which included Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 in addition to Billboard Hot 100. According to an interview Cara did together with Rap Up, this particular song held a lot in the minds of many of the listeners who related to her story about accepting and loving yourself. Cara is well-known for her ability to incorporate songs about mental health, love and self-love into her music. Her inspiration for her music is derived from her own struggle in overcoming mental health issues and insomnia. According to an Reuters interview, her album has been described as a semi-tumultuous and half-perfected. Therapy helped her grow and advises people to seek help if necessary. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11th, 1996. Her first guitar was purchased from her parents at the time she was 10, which ignited her passion for music. When she was 13she began covering songs she liked on YouTube to prove to the public that she was talented and was able to make a profession of a musician. One of her tracks, Sweater Weather, was what got her noticed. EP Entertainment gave her the chance to write and compose her own music.
